Kornelith respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of its platform to do the same. This Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy ("DMCA Policy") describes how Kornelith responds to claims of copyright infringement and how you may submit a complaint regarding content hosted on kornelith.com.
1. Overview
In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), Kornelith has adopted procedures for receiving written notification of claimed copyright infringement and for processing such claims in accordance with applicable law. If you believe that content available on or through our platform infringes one or more of your copyrights, please notify us by submitting a written DMCA notice containing the information described below.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that your copyrighted work has been reproduced, distributed, or displayed on our platform without authorization, you may submit a written notice of infringement to our designated agent. To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work or works claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material on our platform (such as the URL or specific page location);
- Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law;
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We recommend submitting notices via email to ensure the fastest possible response. Please include "DMCA Notice" in the subject line of your email.
4. Our Response to DMCA Notices
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, Kornelith will act expeditiously to:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material;
- Notify the user who posted the material that it has been removed or disabled;
- Take reasonable steps to promptly notify the alleged infringer of the claim.
We reserve the right to remove content alleged to be infringing without prior notice and at our sole discretion. In appropriate circumstances, Kornelith may also terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.
5. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe that your content was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our designated agent. To be effective, your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, and telephone number;
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of a competent court and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, Kornelith will forward it to the original complaining party. If the original complaining party does not notify us within fourteen (14) business days that they have filed a court action seeking an order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may, at our discretion, restore the removed or disabled material.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
Kornelith maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is a user who has been notified of infringing activity more than once and who continues to upload or distribute infringing content. We will also terminate access for users who have been the subject of multiple valid DMCA takedown notices.
7. Misrepresentation
Please be aware that under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability. Before submitting a DMCA notice or counter-notification, we strongly recommend consulting with a qualified legal professional to understand your rights and obligations.
8. Good Faith and Abuse
Kornelith processes DMCA notices submitted in good faith and in compliance with applicable law. We reserve the right to disregard notices that are incomplete, inaccurate, abusive, or submitted for purposes other than the protection of legitimate copyright interests. Submitting false or misleading DMCA claims may expose you to legal liability.
9. Third-Party Content
Our platform may contain content uploaded or submitted by third-party users. Kornelith does not pre-screen user-submitted content and is not responsible for verifying the ownership or licensing status of such content. If you discover content that you believe infringes your copyright, please use the reporting procedure described in this policy.
10. Modifications to This Policy
Kornelith reserves the right to modify this DMCA Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our platform. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to remain informed of any updates. Continued use of the platform following any posted changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
